Results and plans: pre-Christmas meeting of the Consortium Psychiatricum Editorial Board

As we approach the winter holidays, Consortium Psychiatricum editorial board gathered at Mental-health Clinic No. 1 named after N.A. Alexeev, Moscow to reflect on the journal's achievements since its inception in 2020 and plans for 2023.  Many joined online from India, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the meeting, first of its kind in terms of representation of international members.

Professor George Kostyuk, Editor-in-Chief of Consortium Psychiatricum, and Olga Karpenko, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, presented the main results of the common efforts: inclusion in scientific databases, digital libraries and lists of recommended literature of various associations; participation in international conferences and congresses, distribution in Russia and worldwide, educational initiatives, social networks and popular science projects activities. During the 2.5 years of its existence, the Journal has published 92 articles by 199 authors from 33 countries around the world.

International participants wholeheartedly congratulated the journal for inclusion in Scopus and shared their ideas about further development. Brilliant organization of the editorial and publishing processes at unwavering support for authors at every stage as well as the commitment to producing high quality research papers, these are just a few of the mentioned features of Consortium Psychiatrium. The board members also warmly thanked the journal for the opportunity to work that is gradually gaining worldwide recognition, and expressed their willingness to continue collaborating and providing their support along the way.

In 2023 we plan to:

  • Expand the geography of authors and readers of the journal
  • Increase the impact factor of the journal, the citation rate of articles
  • Launch an educational project for authors
