Consortium Psychiatricum is announcing a CALL FOR PAPERS for the thematic issue on SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PSYCHIATRY.

The Social and Cultural psychiatry thematic issue will focus on social psychiatry, cultural attributes and associations of mental health conditions, social psychology, social anthropology, sociology and socio-cultural aspects of psychopathology and psychotherapy.
We invite authors to contribute with reviews, original research articles, case reports, commentaries and short communication, special views and discussions.
Submissions are invited on the following topics (not limited to):
- Social and cultural attributes related to mental wellbeing and mental health conditions
- Specialised investigations in the fields of social psychology, sociology, anthropology and epidemiology
- Sociology, social psychology and anthropology
- The nexus between socio-economic factors and psychiatry (ex: poverty, homelessness, stigma, migration, etc.)
- Culture bound syndromes
- Mental health of vulnerable populations (ex: age extremes, sexual and gender minorities, refugees and migrants, homeless, etc.)
- Socio-cultural aspects of dementia and other neurocognitive disorders
- Knowledge – attitude – practice gap related to psychiatric disorders in communities
- Needs assessment and mental healthcare service development
- Cultural aspects of psychotherapy
- Critique of ‘biological thinking’ in psychiatry and articles related to biopsychosocial model
