Suicidal Behavior: A Thematic Article Collection
September 10 – World Suicide Prevention Day
This day was established by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) to remind the world that suicide is preventable.
The theme for 2024-2026, “Changing the Narrative Around Suicide,” calls on communities, organizations, and governments to break the silence and foster open, compassionate dialogue about suicide and suicidal behavior.
With over 720,000 lives lost to suicide each year globally, this issue requires a systemic shift. This means investing in research to understand its complex causes and developing based on these data interventions that save lives.
How do we accurately assess risk? Which populations are most vulnerable? And how can we intervene before it's too late?
Save and read a new Article Collection from Consortium PSYCHIATRICUM that explores these very questions.
